The extension
Anypocket has no backend, advertising, analytics, or telemetry. It saves pages you choose to your locally running Anytype Desktop.
What it reads
When you invoke the extension, it reads the active page’s URL, title, description, cover-image URL, and favicon URL. It does not request browser history, cookies, passwords, or the contents of other tabs.
Where it goes
When you save, the URL, title, description, and your note are sent to Anytype Desktop over HTTP on localhost or 127.0.0.1. Pairing exchanges the extension name, a challenge, and a four-digit code. Authenticated API requests carry your Anytype API key. Any subsequent synchronization is controlled by your Anytype settings and selected space.
Page images
The extension may load preview images from a website or its image servers. These receive your IP address and an ordinary image request, without the Referer header or your Anytype key.
Stored on your computer
Your API key, endpoint, language, theme, and last space are stored in the browser profile, without browser synchronization. This is standard extension storage, not a separately encrypted vault. Pairing state, drafts, and save receipts use session storage and disappear when the browser session ends. A successful save removes its draft while the popup is open.
Firefox permissions
Firefox declares authentication information, browsing activity, and website content because data is sent outside the browser to Anytype. This does not mean it goes to the developer. Loopback access is requested on connection for the selected hostname; Firefox cannot limit this permission to a single port. A compatibility rule removes Origin and Sec-Fetch-Site only from this extension’s own requests to the configured local API endpoint, including its port and /v1/ path. Requests from websites and other extensions are not changed.
Disconnecting
Disconnect Anytype removes the extension’s copy of the key and clears session data. It does not delete bookmarks or revoke the key in Anytype. Revoke it in Anytype Desktop → Settings → API Keys. Removing the extension removes its browser storage.
This website
This site has no analytics, third-party scripts, or forms. Language and appearance preferences are saved in your browser’s local storage. The illustrated walkthrough stays in this page, uses a fictional code, and never contacts Anytype. Images are served from this site. The hosting provider receives normal web requests, including your IP address, and may retain access logs according to its configuration.
